Optional. Connect your own ThriftBooks account and Ranger prices books straight from it — faster, several at a time, and it shows how many copies they actually want, which the shared connection can't. Leave it blank and ThriftBooks still works through the shared connection.

How to connect it — about a minute
  1. Sign in at thriftbooks.com/buyback.
  2. Press ⌥⌘I (Mac) or F12 to open developer tools, then click the Network tab. If you can't see it, click the » at the end of the tab row.
  3. Type tb-api in the filter box. That hides everything except ThriftBooks' own calls.
  4. Paste any ISBN into their box and click Get Quote. One row will appear.
  5. Right-click that row → Copy → Copy as cURL.
  6. Paste it below and press Connect. Ranger reads the two bits it needs and discards the rest.

This is the key to your ThriftBooks account. Paste it here and nowhere else — not into a chat, a ticket, or a shared document. You can disconnect at any time, and signing out of ThriftBooks in your browser also ends it.

How the two differ

Both give you cash today. Only one of them can build a shipment from inside Ranger.
